Flowmeters accuracy depends on changes of the pressure and temperature. In order to compensate for these errors, we have developed the flowcom2.

flowcom is a calculator that can be easily set up under Windows, which compensates for the influence of pressure and temperature on the flow measurement for gases and calculates the power and heat quantity for heating and cooling fluids. In the two-channel version, it even balances between flow and return.

As a special highlight, flowcom does not calculate according to incorrect equations, but determines densities and enthalpies from error-free integrated tables.

The new flowcom2 comes in an extremely stable IP65/67 aluminum housing that is weatherproof and impact-resistant. With its large display and the particularly simple menu structure, the flowcom can be parameterized for any application within minutes, even without the operating software. Thanks to the USB interface and Modbus, the digital connection to a PC or PLS is child's play.

The proven parameterization software, which has set industry standards in terms of user-friendliness, is almost unchanged from the flowcom1.

Our flowcom2 can be used as a gas compensation and energy quantity calculator. The densities and enthalpies of air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, oxygen and hydrogen, saturated steam, superheated steam and water are permanently stored. For other media, individual media tables can be stored via USB - or the flowcom calculates according to known gas equations such as the ideal gas law or an improved ideal gas law.

The flowcom can calculate natural gas according to the GERG88 equation. This equation was developed for billing purposes and approved by all major European natural gas suppliers such as Ruhr-Gas (D), British Gas (GB), Distrigaz (B), Gaz de France (F), N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (NL), S.N.A.M. Spa. (I) and the PTB (D). The GERG88 is much more accurate than the often used AGA NX-19 mod. for L-Gas and AGA-NX-19- mod. BR. CORRECTION 3H for H gas.

In the case of heat transfer media, the flowcom2 calculates power and energy in addition to flow compensation. Since the flowcom has 2 channels, a flow and energy balance can be calculated. Storing your own density and enthalpy tables such as e.g. B. ammonia, refrigerant, thermal oil, as a vapor or liquid is easily possible with the flowcom software via USB.
