deltawaveC-P measures flow by using the extremely accurate ultrasonic transit time method.
In this method, the measure rate is very high, typical 50-150 times per second. The high number of measurements can be performed by using the advantage of modern digital signal processing. Clamp-on flow measurement, such as the deltawaveC-P, is specifically designed for liquid flowmeters, but can also be adapted for gas measurement. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of industrial and specialized applications.
Ultrasonic flowmeters via clamp-on can measure the flow of liquids in pipes with diameters ranging from DN10 to DN6000, and gases up to DN700. The sensors are easily attached to the outside of the pipe using a mounting rail or quick-release system.
Clamp-on flowmeters like the deltawaveC-P enable precise flow measurement in a temperature range from -30°C up to +150°C. With high-temperature sensors, measurement is possible even up to 380°C, making the clamp-on flowmeter suitable for demanding industrial processes.
Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are especially hygienic, as the sensor is mounted externally on the pipe. The measuring medium remains completely uncontaminated, ensuring compliance with strict hygiene standards in industries such as food processing and pharmaceuticals.
